What to Expect!

January and February we target night time Calico Bass down the coast on Limited trips. Halibut can bite very well on the coast and at the Islands this time of year. Typically, Squid fish for the most part but, we can have amazing days on the swim baits, sardines and anchovies.

March, April and May the bass start to bite a little, halibut are easier to catch and white seabass start to make a showing at the Islands and along the coast. Anacapa Yellowtail start to show on the larger fish and school sized seabass are found in the kelps beaches and squid beds. May can be the month were we find excellent grade of yellowtail and seabass at Santa Rosa and Santa Barbara Islands. June, July and August can be some of the best bites for White Seabass, Halibut, Calico Bass and Yellowtail. Look to see us fishing Rosa or Santa Barbara Islands for the exotics.

June, July August Were in full swing right now. Expect fishing for White Seabass, Halibut, Yellowtail and tuna offshore on all of our trips. At any time we will have tuna within reach. Outer island White Seabass. Anacapa and Santa Cruz white seabass to bite full speed. 40-60 lb coastal seabass and more!. Calico bass available for the anglers who want to target them.

September, October and November, anything can happen at this time. Offshore albacore, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado and Bluefin Tuna are caught here. Backside of Anacapa, Santa Cruz Island and Santa Barbara Islands may hold nice schools of these species and the elusive swordfish and Striped Marlin are taken here. Please contact directly with the Capt to ensure a better chance in catching a Channel Islands Marlin.
